Jean-Pierre has engaged in all aspects of litigation before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe, in addition to representing clients in U.S. federal and state courts. He also has experience representing clients in investigations and administrative matters before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Jean-Pierre is a member of the Florida Bar. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Jean-Pierre had a successful career in the financial services sector before turning his attention to the practice of law. He spent eight years performing sales and operations functions in private banking, mergers & acquisitions, and retail banking. Jean-Pierre formerly held several securities licenses and was an instructor teaching other financial industry executives as part of a Certified Financial Plannerâ„¢ certification program at Barry University. He is also a published author on the financial industry and blockchain technology. Before that, Jean-Pierre served abroad in the United States Army as an infantry officer upon his graduation from West Point. He also served as a Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) financial counselor at the United States Southern Command in Doral, Florida. In 2021, Jean-Pierre was appointed to the Miami-Dade County Cryptocurrency Task Force. As a member if the Task Force, he authored the regulatory framework for its recommendation to the county. Jean-Pierre earned his juris doctor from Florida International University College of Law and an M.B.A. from the University of Miami, specializing in finance and international business. When not practicing law, Jean-Pierre explores his interest in wine by studying the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce.
