Santiago Torrijos is a law clerk who worked for the former Attorney General of Colombia before coming to the United States to obtain an LL.M at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He focuses on complex litigation, criminal law, and white-collar cases.

He graduated first in his class from Universidad de Los Andes Law School in Colombia, earning the Cum Laude distinction. Her also obtained a Master’s degree in Criminology, Crime, and Victimology from Universidad Internacional de Valencia, Spain.

Santiago began his career as a corporate attorney at Philippi, Prietocarrizosa, Ferrero DU & Uría. He later transitioned to criminal defense, working on complex cases at Jaime Lombana Villalba & Abogados. His expertise in white-collar crime further developed at Mario Iguarán Abogados Asociados, where he progressed from associate to income partner, defending clients including businessmen, governors, senators, former prosecutors and entertainment industry figures, while working directly with Colombia’s former Attorney General.

In 2024, Santiago externed at Picard, Kentz & Rowe LLP, in Washington, DC, focusing on transnational repression, war crimes, and human rights violations. He also served as a law clerk at the law firm of Lauro & Singer, where he assisted with the defense of President Donald J. Trump’s federal criminal prosecution by the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.

Santiago is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian, enabling him to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and to understand the intricacies of complex cases, particularly in matters involving transnational conduct and litigation.
