Her practice focuses on complex business litigation and white-collar criminal defense. Before joining Fridman, Fels & Soto, PLLC, Alejandra was an Associate at White & Case, LLP, where she had an international practice defending multinational corporations in complex civil litigation and regulatory investigations concerning data privacy (GDPR). She advised technology and social media companies on regulatory, legislative, product, and related policy issues and managed complex civil and regulatory matters across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Alejandra also had a domestic practice, representing clients in commercial disputes, white-collar matters, U.S. Department of Justice investigations, and insolvency-related litigation. Prior to her time at White & Case, LLP, Alejandra interned for Judge Linda Wells in the Third District Court of Appeal. During her internship, she researched and prepared memoranda on a variety of complex legal issues. Alejandra was also a legal clerk for Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, where she researched and prepared memoranda on unlicensed business activities for the Office of the General Counsel. In addition, she interned for Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office and the Innocence Project Florida, Inc., where she prepared motions for criminal proceedings and handled client in-take. Alejandra is passionate about helping others and promoting diversity and inclusion. She was the recipient of White & Case, LLP’s Pro Bono Awards for four consecutive years for her work representing individuals in civil rights actions and asylum proceedings. She was also a Black Affinity Network representative and liaison with White & Case, LLP’s Executive Committee concerning diversity and inclusion. Alejandra was a member and sponsor of Florida’s Children First Miami-Dade Host Committee, where she helped protect and advance the rights of children impacted by the child welfare, juvenile justice, and disability systems. She was also a Teach for America corps member, where she worked to close the educational inequality gap in Jacksonville, Florida. Alejandra graduated in the top fifteen percent of her class from Florida State University College of Law. She was a research assistant to the Dean and Centennial Professor Donald J. Weidner and D’ Alemberte Professor Dan Markel, as well as a teaching assistant to Legal Writing & Research Professor Jarrod F. Reich.
