Associate Attorney
We hire associates with one to six years of experience in federal criminal defense, securities litigation, SEC enforcement, or complex civil litigation. Our associates handle substantive work — not document review — with direct partner mentorship and exposure to all phases of high-stakes federal matters. We recruit from across the country and value federal clerkship experience, DOJ or SEC backgrounds, and prior litigation experience.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission (Florida preferred; federal court admissions a plus)
- 1–6 years of experience in federal criminal defense, SEC enforcement, securities litigation, or complex civil litigation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) strongly preferred but not required
- Federal clerkship or prior government experience a significant plus
Full-Time
Paralegal / Legal Assistant
We are a lean firm and expect a great deal from our paralegal and support staff. The right candidate has strong litigation support experience — specifically in federal court matters — and can manage large document sets, draft correspondence, coordinate depositions, and support attorneys through trial. Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong preference for this role given our client base.

- 2+ years of litigation support experience, preferably in federal court matters
- Experience with document management platforms (Relativity, Everlaw, or similar)
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Lambda Epsilon Chi or similar paralegal certification a plus

J-1 International Law Clerk Program
Training the next generation of cross-border practitioners.
Every year, we bring one experienced lawyer from Latin America into our J-1 International Law Clerk Program. We are looking for someone with two to eight years at a strong firm back home, who already knows how to practice law well and wants to sharpen that with U.S. experience. The clerk works with real autonomy, under the supervision of our attorneys, on matters in white-collar defense, SEC enforcement, compliance, and cross-border investigations.
Duration & Structure
The program runs for 12 months under a J-1 Exchange Visitor visa (Trainee category, DS-7002). Participants work alongside all five partners, handling substantive research, drafting, document review, and litigation support on the firm's active federal matters. The program is not a clerkship in the traditional sense — trainees are expected to perform at the level of a U.S. mid-level associate, and are supervised and mentored accordingly.
What You Will Do
J-1 trainees are embedded into the firm's active matters from day one. Depending on the calendar, this may include federal grand jury investigations, SEC formal orders of investigation, corporate internal investigations, complex civil litigation, or cross-border asset recovery matters. Trainees draft motions and briefs, participate in client meetings and depositions, conduct legal research across U.S. and Latin American law, and contribute directly to the firm's work product.
Who Should Apply
The program is designed for experienced Latin American lawyers — ideally two to eight years post-qualification — who are fluent in English and practice in corporate crime, securities regulation, compliance, complex civil litigation, or related fields. Prior U.S. legal training is helpful but not required. We have previously hosted lawyers from Argentina and Brazil, and we welcome applications from across the region.
Compensation & Visa
Trainees receive a monthly stipend consistent with their experience and the cost of living in Coral Gables, Florida. The firm sponsors the J-1 visa and DS-7002 training plan and assists with relocation logistics. Trainees are responsible for their own housing, though the firm provides recommendations and resources. The J-1 trainee visa does not lead directly to U.S. employment authorization. Some clerks may choose to pursue further pathways afterward, such as an LLM degree or U.S. bar admission, though the program itself does not provide or guarantee any route to long-term work authorization.

He brings nearly a decade of practice in Brazil and holds a J.D. from PUC-SP, a postgraduate specialization in Business Law from FGV, and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
