Overview
Roberto Potter is the firm's 2026 J-1 International Law Clerk, part of Fridman Fels & Soto's annual program that brings an experienced Latin American lawyer to Miami for one year of training in U.S. federal practice. Mr. Potter joins from Caminati Bueno Advogados, a leading Brazilian antitrust boutique in São Paulo, where he was a senior associate working on high-profile antitrust investigations, complex merger filings, and cross-border transactions across technology, healthcare, energy, and private equity.
At FFS, Mr. Potter supports U.S. and cross-border litigation and arbitration matters, assisting with legal research, drafting, documentary and testimonial evidence review, and international discovery strategy — including matters involving cross-border evidence gathering between the United States and Brazil.
He holds a J.D. from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), a postgraduate specialization in Business Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to the Brazilian Bar and is pursuing admission to the New York Bar.
