Overview
Mia Goldberg is a Summer Associate at Fridman Fels & Soto and a J.D. candidate at the University of Miami School of Law, where she expects to graduate in May 2027. At Miami Law she has earned the Dean's Certificate of Achievement Award in Legal Research and Writing II, a Dean's Merit Scholarship, and Dean's List honors. She holds a B.A. in Sociology, with a minor in Law and Society, from New York University, where she was named an Honors Scholar, received the Founders Day Award, and earned Dean's List recognition in six semesters. Fluent in Spanish, she is focused on the cross-border matters at the heart of the firm's Latin America practice.
Most recently, Mia served as a legal extern in the Legal Corporate Affairs group at Bacardi-Martini, Inc. in Miami. There she conducted statutory interpretation across state and federal regulatory frameworks governing spirits packaging and developed compliance matrices and memoranda aligning national marketing initiatives with the requirements of multiple jurisdictions.
Before that, Mia worked in the Latin America Legal and Business Affairs group at Warner Bros. Discovery. There, she drafted and reviewed licensing, advertising, and production agreements for linear channels and streaming platforms across the region, prepared contracts in both English and Spanish, and researched consumer-protection and foreign regulatory questions to support the company's compliance work. She also responded to demand letters and helped negotiate sports-rights and production agreements. Her in-house experience interpreting layered state, federal, and foreign regulatory regimes informs her interest in the firm's regulatory and enforcement work, including its SEC and FINRA matters.
Her earlier work in Miami real estate transactions gave her a working grounding in due diligence and contract review.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mia grew up spending significant time there with her family. She volunteered the summer after college to help women-led cooperatives in Buenos Aires build small businesses, deepening her ties to the region and to the clients the firm serves there.
